# Create a New Group in SonarQube

This tutorial explains to you how to create a new group in SonarQube.

In order to create a new user in SonarQube, we need to connect to the SonarQube console first with a user which has appropriate privileges.

Click on "Administration" and you will see the following screen:

From "Security" choose "Groups" and you will see the SonarQube defined groups:

Click on "Create Group".

Input the group details/attributes and click on "Create". After that you will see the new user added into the list:
