# Create a New User in SonarQube

This tutorial explains to you how to create a new user in SonarQube.

In order to create a new user in SonarQube, we need to connect to the SonarQube console first with a user which has appropriate privileges.

Click on "Administration" and you will see the following screen:

From "Security" choose "Users" and you will see the SonarQube users:

Click on "Create User".

Input the user details/attributes and click on "Create". After that you will see the new user added into the list:
